After the Job's Done

Not for the check. Not for the content. Just because you still love it

There’s always a cleanup.

Tools to put away.

An invoice to send.

Maybe a text or two.

But when the dust settles,

I’m usually still out here.

Tinkering with something that’s not on the list.

Drawing something I may never build.

Reworking a setup no one asked for.

Testing an idea I probably won’t charge for.

Not because I have to.

Because I love it.

The problem-solving.

The creative - out.

The silence.

The little win that no one else sees.

It’s not for a client.

It’s not for a camera.

It’s just… the work.

And I still want to do it, even when the job’s done. :)
